About HerdOS

Built by ranchers, for ranchers.

Our Story

In 2019, Marc and Avery Claire Wrigglesworth left their careers in international finance to take over Lily Hill Farm—a third-generation cattle operation in West Point, Georgia. What started as a mission to preserve family legacy quickly grew from 80 head to over 300 as they built a direct-to-consumer beef operation.

But as the herd grew, so did the frustration with existing cattle management software. Many platforms felt archaic, with clunky interfaces and codebases that seemed calcified—unable to be meaningfully updated to meet the needs of modern ranchers. Others were overly complicated, designed more for enterprise feedlots than working family farms.

So Marc built their own. After Avery Claire shared the app on social media, the response was overwhelming—ranchers from across the country reached out, asking if they could use what they'd built.

That's when the decision was made to offer HerdOS as a platform for other farmers and ranchers. We built the tool we wished existed, and now we're sharing it with the community.

Why We're Different

We Use It Every Day

HerdOS isn't built by a software company guessing what ranchers need. We use it daily to manage our own cattle operation at Lily Hill Farm.

Modern Technology

Built with the latest technology stack, HerdOS is fast, reliable, and continuously improving—not stuck in the past like legacy platforms.

Rancher-First Design

Every feature is designed with the working rancher in mind. Simple enough for daily use, powerful enough for serious operations.

Continuous Improvement

We're constantly adding new features and improvements based on real feedback from ranchers like you—and our own experience in the field.

Lily Hill Farm

Lily Hill Farm is where it all started. Located in West Point, Georgia, we raise cattle on open pastures without additional growth hormones, antibiotics, or animal by-products. Our cattle are confinement-free, allowed to develop naturally while we maintain the highest humane standards.

Running a real cattle operation gives us unique insight into what ranchers actually need from their management software. Every pain point we solve in HerdOS is one we've experienced firsthand.
